Our first solar product, the Brunton 3 watt solar charger is great for USB chargeable devices. More and more (and soon all) cell phones use mini-usb chargers. Many MP3 players do too. Some GPS devices as well. And PDAs. And so on, and so forth. It's really handy, since USB charging devices don't require a special device to accept solar power, since they're used to getting an inconsistent power supply from a computer! Like the cigarette-lighter-plug-driven bigger sibling, the USB solar charger is a stand-alone device, ready to fill your small portable device with life-giving solar awesomeness.

Although it's awesome just for the "doesn't use coal-based power" factor, these devices are also incredibly handy for travel and camping, when a power plug or friendly USB port might not be handy. And while 3 watts won't run your bandsaw, garbage disposal, or Tesla roadster, it will charge your cell phone over the course of a day pretty handily. We have a soft spot for magic free energy from the sky, don't you?
